mY experiences

I have a big mouth and alot of visitors to my site, hence my comments below...

To warn others to at least keep their eyes open, ask more questions if you have to leave your bike with anyone AND compare parts costs with another bike parts distributor.

I will be taking my bike to true professionals Pro Twin - Justin does the right thing! I have no fears whatsoever of leaving it in the hands of said professionals. Yes it is a matter of principal DO THE RIGHT THING!

A particular bike shop has done the wrong thing by me over and over. Charging for unnecessary service when they were the last one's to do the previous service, so would have had a record of when it was last done (not professional enough to issue me with a service report so I could base my next service on that information), cutting off the belt which is visible and apparently near new when doing the service, AND trying to charge me for a 900 SS belt (twice) which was much dearer, polishing my bike when it had been in their care for 2 weeks and covered in dirt- thus scratching the paintwork, which was a custom paint job with 4 coats of laquer....and of course argued all bike paint has swirl marks in it...but they at least owned up to polishing it with MR Sheen in that situation, maybe your bikes have swirl scratches but mine didn't, being my dream bike I was meticulous with care and it was an extraordinary paint finish to start with. Then an insurance job which had to be taken to an authorised repairer, replacing the right hand mirror with an old one which corroded in no time and scratches melted off to look like new (but claiming the insurance money for a new one...this is the only shortcut I was aware of by the way as it was visible and it shit me every time I rode my bike and saw it), the fairings were taken to a shoddy backyard unprofessional who could not get the colour right, and it was visibly orange (like triumph orange) and sub standard with air bubbles and crap 1 coat of lacquer with no edges of fairings painted, it took over a month to get my bike done properly and back to me, that painter is a fucking joke! Not like he didn't have the original fairing to match the colour to. This bike shop does not use quality people to outsource the work to, short cuts everywhere!!!

Fuck...what else did they do? I can't remember now as I've tried so hard to forget and all this occurred over a few years- (THATS RIGHT NOT A ONE OFF OCCASION TO JUSTIFY FORGIVENESS- which I did as if it was a one off a couple of times), but it was enough to make me fucking hate them for it all in the end, the stress I endured with dealing with this bike shop contributed to an emotional breakdown, which I have enough proof to actually sue them for damages far greater than my bagging them has 'apparently' cost them. Dickheads!

Could have all been avoided firstly by doing the RIGHT THING, secondly when approached about it, refunding the unnecessary service costs they charged me, thirdly, giving me a new fucking mirror when I went to see them about it. I've never met anyone so bloody good at bullshitting to everyone, needing and dying for the approval of the majority with false statements, helpfulness and all round (I will make you like me cos I'm a good guy) pretense, all the while taking shortcuts and money for things not delivered. There are plenty of fools willing to defend them... all that proves is you were gullible and sucked in by the nice guy facade...as I was a few times myself (OR I wouldn't have gone back for more!) If this goes further I will expose them for the insurance fraud, and sue for damages to my pain and suffering and the costs borne by me over the years dealing with them.......AND by the way....I don't give a shit who you get to email me and abuse me, or your cheap ass solicitor ...which made me laugh actually cos with all your money you still hire cheap jokers to do your dirty work!

DON'T YOU REALISE BY NOW IF YOU HAD DONE THE RIGHT THING I'D HAVE NOTHING TO SAY HERE OR ON THE BIKE FORUMS- Which reminds me there were 8 pages written about what was done, so alot more happened than I recall. The most obvious difference between us - I don't lie. You think I have a problem with this bike shop based on what? What would my motive be if no bad thing was done to me? Why would I say these things/waste my time if there was no valid reason to do so? I don't care what mindless people think, I only care what I think because it's the truth and I believe in honesty.

If I could sign this page as a declaration of true facts I would!

I've had enough of being ripped off! This seems to be prevalent amongst mechanics, bikes or otherwise, wouldn't mind finding an ETHICAL AND HONEST mechanic in Bunbury, but...... don't know of one! Someone with previous good experiences would be blinded by the things they do and not totally aware of what might be going on. I started to pay close attention... and much was revealed.

Kwaka apparently fixed my back tyre puncture which I had to remove and replace myself, only to find the next day it was flat again. An apology and taking ownership of the fault for the inconvenience would have at least been something! It wasn't an easy task for me. First they try the usual bullshit, that i drove over a nail, but I didn't ride it so then admitted they didn't have a water bath to check the leak so weren't sure! What if I had ridden a hundred k's away from home? Worse that I put my back out taking it off,and had to lie flat for a whole day, but no apology for their error!

Another local said my brake lever fell off on the way to the shop when I asked why it was missing.

Yeah right, that's convenient. It wasn't even loose, just there and then when bike given back it was gone. I think they threw it out and then what could they say? backed into a corner.

And another shop scratched my bike quite noticeably, but of course denied it. Its not so much the actual things that happen that piss me off, but the lies they use to cover themselves, I detest liars, makes me so fucking mad that they patronise me like that. Fucking own up and make amends, then its sweet!

And although I tell the alternative shops I don't want the particular bike shop I have the problem with to do the repair etc, they take it there anyway! FUCK if I wanted that shop to do it in the first place that's where I would have taken it. Why can't they just be honest?

You can abuse me all you want but remember, if the right thing had been done to me in the first place, there would be nothing written on this page but bike shop addresses and phone numbers, just like was originally intended.
