Keep going until you come to the Gnomesville
roundabout (about 15kms.)Nice spot to sit and relax --worth taking
morning/afternoon tea. Really great place if you're into gnomes
too.
After your little break, go left off
the roundabout (Lowden 9km) this is a lovely relaxed winding road
through beautiful country side. When you reach the T junction, turn
right.There should be a small store.
Keep going for about 7 kms (yet to be verified) -we were enjoying
it so much we forgot to take any notice.On your left is Charles
Creek Rd, turn there and keep going untill you see the first road
on your right which is Wildmere.
Turn there and travel about 5 kms, turn left and that will take
you to Kirup. Another nice spot to stop. Please note the Kirup pub
doesnt open till about 2 pm. GAWD DAMN!but you can get a pie at
the kirup shop, (I rekon the mince one is shit, though)
This is the road to Lowden, the scenery is beautiful.
For a relaxed ride.
When you stop at Kirup pub, notice the road to Capel
on the corner, veer left and take the Upper Capel road (28kms) until
you reach Donnybrook, keep going until Boyanup and turn right as
indicated on the map. That will take you back to the road you started
on-South West Hwy. Watch out for the bit of gravel on a few of the
T junctions. It's not bad though.
