The most anticipated guitar event in the world touring
calendar came to Perth. In the year marking the 10th anniversary
of the original G3 US tour. Both Joe Satriani and Steve Vai,
founding members of the legendary G3 tour, have toured Australia
during the last two years. The two master guitarists were joined
by John Petrucci of the revered progressive rock band, Dream
Theater. My son met Joe Satriani, and got his shirt, and drum
stick signed...lucky boy! This was so awesome Satrinai playing for me!
I just got my fairings painted after
the crash in November. I was
a bit tired with the same old look so I've gone for a little bit
different, its actually taking me some time to get used to it. Being
a classic Ducati red must be the dominate colour choice of course!
There are stickers placed to demonstrate my love for old school
Metallica.
A very very special thanks to Craig at Autostyle Spraypainters
who gave me a great deal and really went all out to get this job done
for me quickly, cheaply and with care! Give him a call ( 97219399).
It changes colour according to the
angle which is great going around bends n corners, its gold and purple
and red and I love the gold the most...turnin right :) It is 11 years old now, but still rides
beautifully! I love this bike... Mechanically, this bike has always run perfectly ! I
am a Ducati girl to my soul and this is my mighty and loyal steed.
My
favourite music/Stuff at the moment
Bands I saw last year are Motley Crue, Motorhead, Living
end, Simple plan, Jet, Karnivool, Birds of Tokyo, The Casanovas, Fireball,
Day of the Dead, End of Fashion, Kiss Chasey, Spiderbait, All American
Rejects. Deep Purple featuring the magical Steve Morse, Status Quo
and The Sandman. Flew over east for Megadeth Moshpit, with Caliban,
Soulfly and Arch Enemy in Sydney. Nevermore, and Black Majesty in
Victoria. G3 was the guitar event of the year, I took my son and I'm
certain Satrinai and Vai have left an imprint on his soul in the shape
of a silver plectrum. I wasted a Slayer ticket cos I wasnt up for
it and they were never a band I was into anyway. Also been to see Bullet For My Valentine, Disturbed, and Judas Priest...check photos page for umm...photos! Have seen some really
good local Perth talent, but I must say I'm just not really into this
screamo shit! Give me a power metal 80's style band anyday! I will
say though that the guitar work and drumming often blows me away with
the double kick it's fast and furious- takes talent to be good at
it. Hence my remark on the good local shit lately. CHECK Myspace
blog for updates on bands and concerts...and the latest photos!!
